Alessandra is currently the Principle at her own firm, Law Offices of Alessandra M. Messineo Long, LLC. She represents Corporations, Non Profit Organizations, small businesses, entrepreneurs, consultants as well as individuals. Wills, Trust and Estates, Corporate Contracts and Corporate Formation, General Business Law, Non Profit Organizations and Sexual Abuse matters.
Alessandra has been Corporate Counsel in the litigation and regulatory departments at Sempra Energy and Long Island Lighting Company and has been an associate at two NYC law firms. Alessandra is admitted to the Federal court of the Southern District of New York.
Alessandra graduated Cum Laude with an Associates in Applied Science degree in Fashion Buying and Merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology. After a study abroad in Florence, Italy where she studied International Business and Art History, she went on to receive a Bachelors in Applied Science degree from New York University Stern School of Business graduating with a double major in International Business and Marketing. Alessandra proceeded to earn her Juris Doctorate degree from St. John’s University School of Law, and is licensed to practice law in New York, California, The District of Columbia and Connecticut.
Alessandra joined the Junior League of Greenwich (“JLG”) in 2004 after moving from La Jolla, California to Greenwich. Her positions at the JLG include: President 2015-16, Membership Director, Parlimentarian, Communications Director on the Board of Directors; Touch a Truck Co-Chair; The Enchanted Forest Vice Chair of Events; Nominating & Placement (Vice Chair and Committee Member); New Member Spring Co-Chair and Fund Development.
She has also been on the Board of Directors for the Dispute Settlement Center as both Secretary and Fundraising Director for five years and stepped into an advisory role as of May 2012 until the organization merged with another.
Alessandra currently serves as Chair of the Nominations Committee on the Metro New York North Board of the American Red Cross; Donations Chair and Second Vice President for the Greenwich Old Timers Athletic Association and Past President and Current Board Member of the Friends of Greenwich Senior Center.
